ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT Female Genital Mutilation| A DOCUMENTARY BY OMOBOLANLE ADESUYI #FGM #FGC

This Project was done in 2019, in collaboration with The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) and Impact Africa Television (IATV), as an effort to create awareness and push for a total eradication of FGM in Oyo state, Nigeria and the world over.

Due to the Covid19 Pandemic, UNFPA estimates additional 2 million girls projected to be at risk of undergoing female genital mutilation by 2030.

To promote the elimination of female genital mutilation, coordinated and systematic efforts are needed, and they must engage whole communities and focus on human rights, gender equality, sexual education and attention to the needs of women and girls who suffer from its consequences.
