In this interview, we meet Chimankpa Naic Nwakanma, the Founder of Velux Development Limited, a real estate business in Portharcourt, Nigeria. According to him, it is not possible to do real estate without interacting with people. He shares how he had to improvise, from live inspection to Whatsapp virtual live inspection. That was how as a company they were able to navigate around the lockdown. Right now, they are developing a property mall that will be powered by virtual reality. Clients do not have to always go to property location but can do so remotely and in real-time with the help of virtual reality.

About the Guest
Chimankpa Naic Nwakanma is a professional realtor, partnered with world-class real estate giants like Azizi, Vera Damac, AYS Developers, Landwey, Redbrick Homes, Veritasi, Landmark Realty and Boing Luxury Estates just to mention but a few. His journey into real estate started in 2017, after his national youth service. This was after he graduated top of his class in laboratory management and administration, from the prestigious School of Science and Laboratory Technology, in the University of Port Harcourt.

He is an associate of the Nigerian Institute of Science and Laboratory Technologist. He’s a force when it comes to property sales, property acquisition, real estate consultancy, facility management, real estate advisory, rental income and investment. He’s also a  partner with the biggest real estate brokerage network in Africa, Billionaire Realtors Group.

His real estate sales strategy has helped a Port Harcourt based real estate company double their sales in less than 2 months, using various real estate sales hacking tools. He has trained over a hundred realtors in real estate sales and consultancy. Part of his expertise is in helping individuals earn rent from properties they do not own, using rental property hacking and investing as a vehicle. 

He is the Founder of Velux Development Limited, a Port Harcourt based property development company, that has helped a good number of Nigerians in diaspora acquire and develop properties across Nigeria.

Velux Development Limited is currently modifying modalities to, begin development of her first estate in Port Harcourt and also the launch of her relocation and haulage brand, with the hope of expanding to other cities in Nigeria.
