L is Location: The purpose of your investment determines the location of your investment. You should locate a residential investment in a location with good school district, low crime rate, good water supply e.t.c

A is Amenities: An investor should consider the amenities available in a location before setting out to invest in that location.

A residential property should be situated in a location with amenities like perimeter fencing, drainage, water supply and electricity.

Commercial properties are to be in an area with good road network. This is because business owners are concerned about the ease of movement of goods.

R for ROI: The ROI of an investor is greatly determined by the location of his investment. To know the ROI of a location, investigate the price trends of the neighboring properties.

NOTE: ROI of a property is return on investment which is the future value of a property minus the present value.
